One more thing: Basic authentication *does* work over the Internet. it's Integrated Security that causes problems.

Basic Authentication has been around for quite some time, so most (if not all) browsers will know how to deal with this.

Cheers,

Even i am not simulating 1000 of users but in real world, my script really cannot support more than 1000 of users. Anyone can help me to solve the problem?

If I use Basic authentication, can I capture their login name and password? because i'm trying for single-sign on, to access other web applications too.

Hi

In theory if a script support 1 user if will support upto as many as your IIS server and Global Catalog server can handle. At the moment on our intranet I use ADSi to authenticate 30 000 users worldwide accross many domains.

For each user connecting your script will be excecuted in its own memory space linked to its own IIS user session and create its own thread to bind to your Glabal Catalog server. As long as these threads/objects are killed when u done u should not have a problem.... To test this with a for loop will not be accurate as Imar said. Any single script u stick in a loop for a 1000 times in a single process will max the processor and cause issues

Regards
Marnus
