generate excel *.xls by using asp?

To all programmer,
hi everybody,
is it possible for me generate a excel file (*.xls) by using asp ?
i want generate a excel file from database so i need to know whether asp can generate excel file or not ?

kiwibey, greg is right about those methods, but there is a new option:

This is an include file that, with very simple code (check out the examples on the Projects homepage

http://aspbiff8.sourceforge.net

) can generate excel 97/2k file with multiple worksheets. Formatting and formulas are not supported yet, but will be in a future version.
