Default Using ASP with windows xp

I just bought a new computer with a windows XP operating system. I don't see an inetpub/wwroot directory. Where do I post my asp files for coding? Also, where is the adovbs.inc file? Sorry, I have been using an old computer for a long time.

I think IIS is not supported for all XP versions. I guess yours is [u]Home Edition</u>!

No, it's not. XP Home doesn't come with IIS, the Web server needed to run ASP.NET applications.

You can still develop the site on your XP Home machine, but you'll need another server or a remote host to run them.

Cheers,

Or you can use WebMatrix's built in web server to test you pages.
