Hi,
   I have a simple website written in vb.net that runs fine
   on my PC - running under the local IIS webserver.

   I have copied my website to two different PCs ( all .aspx
   files etc).

   When I try and run my website on these 2 different PCs, I
   get 2 different error messages.

   On one PC there is an error message saying that I am unable to
   run ASP.net applications as my webserver (IIS) is not running
   ASP 1.1

   On the other PC - I cannot start the IIS webserver as it is
   saying that it cannot find the specified metadata.

   Any suggestions to either problem would be much appreciated.

You should be able to solve the first problem by installed .NET framework 1.1 on the server.

As far as the other problem is concerned... it sounds like a corrupt IIS metabase.

I have de-installed and re-installed IIS and the problem persists.

Ref not running ASP.NET 1.1 problem:
We are already running .Net v1.1 and are still getting
the problem. Should we download the latest IIS ?

Go to Control panel & web services, manually stop & start IIS.

Once we had problem after executing the automatic windows update !!!!!!!!
If so, pls uninstall, windows update and try once
