Default creating a customer wishlist

hi,
does anyone know how difficult it is to add a customer wishlist to a site??
the site already has shopping facilities and they wantt to add the facility so that users can enter their details and create a wish list of things they would like to have bought for them. This list gets emailed to the person who they think will buy it for them.

they also want a "remind me when" function. Users can enter the dates of important people in their life and the website automatically generates a reminder email for occasions such as birthdays/anniversaries.

i think it's going to be beyond what i can do actually, but if anyone does know any tutorials/script help etc. it would be appreciated.
thanks
janice

Store the wish list in the database for an authenticated user. Remind me functions could be achievable by storing the dates in the database and retrieve them whenever the login and see which dates are close to the current date.

I think you had better seriously considering outsourcing it.

Create some tables like [Remind Me] and [Wish List] and store the necessary information in them based on the Registered User's ID. Then have code do what you want.
