I am on chapter 3, trying to test the GridView controls. Some how I cannot find the Customer table. I wonder if everyone having the same problem?

I have addressed this issue. There is no customer table. Each chapter of the book is divided into three parts: Problem, Design and Solution. The problem part states the design specifications and how it relates to the overall web site. The design explores a number of possible alternatives. Finally, the solution is the code that Marco settled on to answer the problem. The database and web site code, included contains only the "solution". It doesn't include all the source for every alternative in the design.

If you want to try the design code you'll have to create a website and following the instructions given create a database and corresponding web page with the SQL connection.
