I am trying to set the write permission for ASP.NET as indicated in the book "Beginning ASP.NET 1.0 with Visual Basic .NET" on page 41. I am running Windows 2000 Professional. I get an error message that says "Cannot find ASPNET. Correct the spelling or click Remove to delete the item."
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Check if you have completely installed the .NET platform. You might want to try and reinstall the whole package just to make sure. Also remember that things would be easier if you installed IIS prior to installing the framework.

When are you getting this error?

It works after installing ASP.NET. The book had us configuring directory security before instalation.
