Default table formatting in asp.net

hi every one,
i put a textbox and a small imagecontrol(when click calendar automatically appears) in a same td. The problem is when calendar appears, it appears in the same td element and it change the alignment. i want that the calender should not come in td. instead it should comes on the screen overlapping the other control(just like popups). what should i do.
