Default serial port communication

hi every1

I have application which is in asp.net version 1.1.
I want to do seria port communication in asp.net.
I have two options:one is system.io.port which is used in version 2 and second one is Microsoft common control dll which is used in desktop application.
Is there any other solution.How to do?
If u have any solution,pls reply me.
it's urgent.I am in deadline.

there is no other way in .net to communicate to serial port. if u r using .net 1.1 u can only use common control dll.
