I am using datagrid to display the information and one template column in datagrid to display a child window. The template column contains image button. when user clicks the image button information related to that record gets displayed in popup window.

The only problem is when user click on the image button to view the child window the parent window get refreshed.

I don't want to refresh the parent window. Any way of doing that????

I don't want to use javascript on OnClick event because I need to pass parameter to the child window which I am doing by means of click event of image button.

May you can use ajax.. This can solve your problem.. Ajax dosent refreshes page.

   If u r not familiar with the Ajax concept lets leave that for some time.. instead of image button cant u use navigate url and bind the parameters in the itembound event of the data grid. if u dont know how to bound to the control let me know.

your requirement seems to be impossible.You can use onclick event of the button and open one child window or can submit data back to the code behind. If you submit data back to the code behind your page will get refreshed. If you dont want want to refresh page then you should use AJAX technology its simple to use. Search in google for more details about ajax.
