Default Javascript Update Panel.

Hey, ive gotta page with two update panels on, in one is a textbox for the user to enter text (its filtered using ajax to stop numbers etc.

Im struggling to get a javascript event to occur when the user changes the text in the textbox, i need the event to cause a postback to occur in updatepanel2, any help / advice / anyone know how to do this? its been driving me nuts for about 2/3days now, so any light at the end of the tunnel would be very much appreciated! thanks si!
