Default Update Panel & Button Control

Hi Friends

I am facing new kind of problem. i have a mainpage.aspx and many update panel on it. whenever i tried to disable one panel through coding it doesn't work. As well as i have drop down list and button, coded on drop down list 's selectedindexchanged event, works fine, but click of button doesn't work when i try to visible one panel true. i click many times but event doesn't fire only on one situation but rest work perfectly.
please help
