Hi to all!
I am new in SharePoint Portal Server & Share Point services in dot net,having no idea .Please give me an idea from where i will start,because i have to make an application on it.

Hi All,

I am new to Microsoft SharePoint .
Just wanted to know is there any difference between using the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 (SPS) and the Windows SharePoint Services (WSS)?

Which one do we need to create Web sites for Documentation purposes??? ,Content Management System ,Document Management System nad work flow and which one can be used and how to maintain user's guides of a product. AND what is Share Point designer.
