Default Word Automation in XP

I'm trying to use a Word example in XP, but I can't get it to work. I'm getting an access error, which I need to add the user to dcomcnfg. I got that to work in Windows 2000 by doing this; however, in XP, it's different. Has anybody automated an App using word in XP?

I've seen the DCOM Configuration utility in XP, but can't figure out all of the permissions that I need to grant.
