Default Datagrid Update

Ok I have to be missing something:
I used the property builder and added the edit update cancel buttons.
It appears they all do thier job as far as firing the right routines.
However the update routine doesnt work because the data that returns is the old data not the new data.

I have it building an update query string and I display it n the page, it proves the data isnt updated. So of course the db gets no new data.

You are going to need to elaborate on this post. What is the "it" that is building the update query string? Are you referring to a data adapter? When are you binding the data to the grid? Can you post only the relevant parts of your code that deals with the datagrid?
