Default Asp.net Logout problems

I am having a problem regarding logging out in asp.net.

I am having a website which asks users to enter username and password to verify the entry. Also in database his loginstatus is made true indicating his login.

Now when user logs out by closing browser window, i expected session_end to run, in which i have the log out code.

But it doesnt happen and user is still shown logged in while he is actually gone.

Can you tell me any suggesion through which i can set loginstatus to false at the time of browser closing?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Session_End doesn't fire when the browser is closed. This is by design, as the server doesn't know the browser has been closed.

Take a look at this thread: http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1774

Try to ignore the comments by that idiot Alex as they don't really add something relevant to the discussion....
