Default ASP.net 1.1 + 64bit support

Hi Guys,

I have an asp.net 1.1 website application which is based on SQL 2000 DB.
We have upgraded our server to Dual Xeon with 64Bit support.

I’m trying to setup my asp.net 1.1 on the new servers and take advantage of the 64bit support.

Here are my questions:

1.64bit vs 32bit, is it really that big of a difference?
2.Does SQL server 2000 support 64bit?
3.Does .Net Framework 1.1 support 64bit?
4.When I install SQL 2005 with 64bit support, it automatically installs .Net Framework 2.
Can I use .Net Framework 2 to run my asp.net 1.1 applications?

5.Can I remove .Net framework 2 after finishing installing SQL 2005 and install .net framework 1.1?

6.What is the best way to get my system running on 64bit?
I considered upgrading the whole website to .Net 2, but I understood that’s its not recommended.

Any help or advice will be appreciated, I’m really confused here. :)

Thank you!
