Default how to update iis 5 to 6???[?]

ya i have da problem that my asp.net is not running when i use that from visual studio.net...
can you please help me to solve this problem.. that i receive the message "your version of IIS is old to run please update server"
can u tell me how can i update server??

Umm...are you running IIS on Windows or Windows Sever platform, and what version of windows?

ya i m using windows xp professional edition 2002...
so if u give some hint then plz.. i m waiting.

Verify that you have IIS version 5.1 installed on your PC (go through the IIS Snap In in administrative tools) and that you have the correct version of .net installed and registered with the server. You should see: X-Powered By ASP.NET.

If you do not see this, you should go to the command line and navigate to the .NET framework directory and run aspnet_regiis
(the path should be: %systemdrive%:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\<ve rsion #>)
