Default Virtual Directory

Hello

I have a simple question

I went into IIS and created a virtual directory mapping to the local path C:\Wrox

With Application Name:Wrox
Execute Permission: Scripts Only
Application Protection: Medium (Pooled)

BUT
When I try to open my sln file in VS.NET I get Web Access Failed:

The default Web access mode for this project is set to file share, but the project folder at 'http://localhost/WroxExample' cannot be opened with path 'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\WroxExample'.
The error returned was:

Unable to open Web project 'WroxExample'. The Web 'WroxExample' located on server 'http://localhost' does not exist.

The only way I can get around this is to re-code the entire project but I don't want to do that.

There has got to be a simple solution.

HELP ME PLEASE! :D

Does ur project located in other Machine?! Do u open ur project using http://Localhost Address?! or try C:\Wrox?!
Solution: share C:\Wrox on machine & connect to that Machine using its name map a Network drive for that & use it.

HTH

Always:),

Hello,

Try copying the project under wwwroot, and accessing it that way. The other thing I noticed is that the application name Wrox doesn't match the Virtual you are accessing: WroxExample.

See if that helps,

Brian
