dropdown list

I desesperately need your help.
I have a databound dropdown list. I'm trying to select an item from the Combobox and display its item code in a text box. But the selected index change event of the combobox does not change the index. Always return the first item code.
Can you tell me what is wrong

Hello,

I believe you have to set AutoPostback of the control to true. It has to post back to the server with the change for that to take effect.

I guess u should check ur postback.
DataBind ur DropDrownList in not postback I mean
