Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read this message. I am new to trying to send email through web applications. I am simply trying to see if my SMTP Virtual Server is running correctly right now. I try saving a basic text message to my C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Pickup directory. The message looks something like this:

To: [email protected]
From: [email protected]
Subject: Testing SMTP Service
     Here is my message.

When I save the message it disappears from the pickup directory.(like it is suppose to do!!) There is nothing showing in my badmail or queue directory however the message does not seem to be being sent because when I check my hotmail account... nothing. I also try to do this at my yahoo account....nothing. Does this mean it is not working correctly, or is there somebody who can offer me some advice as to how to accomplish this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
