I have read this book word for word and I can get the wroxunited site to view via IE. I keep getting this error. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yo man,

I've found the solution.

first read this artikel.
http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/aspdot.php

and than start dos command box and go the this directory:
c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727

okay !! and than type: aspnet_regiis /i

this will install framework 2.0 components.
Than run visual studio 2005 and run a webapplication to check out.

If no result check if your ASPNET account is exists reffering on artikel above.

good luck!!

problem may had been caused by the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 prior to the installation of IIS

please try this one, it solved my problem because i also encountered a problem like that once.

1. in Control Panel, choose add/remove programs
2. choose Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
3. click change/remove
4. click repair and so on...

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot CenturiMan. Your tips helped me. I wasted 3 hours in fixing it but couldn't. But after acting upon your instructions, I got it. Thanks once again.

CenturiMan,

Thanks, worked like a charm.

You should help out MS in translating their docs into English.
