Default FilterExpression multiple parameters/placeholders

I am trying to use the FilterExpression using multiple params/placeholders

The following code runs, but the search returls no results
I can get it to work fine with just one parameter

<%@ Page Language="VB" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head runat="server">
    <title>Untitled Page</title>
    <form id="form1" runat="server">

    <asp:Textbox id="txtCompName" runat="server" />
        Search Company Name<br />
        <br />
        <asp:TextBox ID="txtId" runat="server"/>
        Search ID<br />
        <br />
        <asp:TextBox ID="txtPostCode" runat="server"/>
        Search PostCode<br />
        <br />
        <asp:TextBox ID="txtConName" runat="server"/>
        Search Contact Name<br />
        <br />
    <asp:Button ID="btnMatch" Text="Match" runat="server" />

    <asp:GridView ID="grdCustomers" DataSourceID="srcRitestar"
    runat="server" />

    <asp:SqlDataSource ID="srcRitestar"
    SelectCommand="Select CustomerId,CompanyName,CompanyAddress,ContactName, TelNum,FaxNum,EmailAddress,PostCode FROM Customers"
    FilterExpression="PostCode LIKE '{0}%' OR CompanyName LIKE '{1}%' "
    ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:ConnectionString %>"
    <FilterParameters >
        <asp:ControlParameter Name="PostCode" ControlID="txtPostCode" />
      <asp:ControlParameter Name="CompanyName" ControlID="txtCompName" />
