the next version of .net is asp 3.0 !!!
but it is 2 early to think about as it still in the beginning stages of marketing and it still has not been fully developed.
though the beta version of AJAX(Asynchronous JavaScript And XML) for asp.net has been successfully launched. Itz damn powerful.

Do you know that in asp.net 2.0 ,you need not to code.
There is a built in control.Just drag it and set some of it's properties.

When you are applying output-cache on the page, but still wants some values dynamic, then put them in Substitution control.
