Default users upload image

hi,
i need to let users upload images by doing a "alt + printscreen" then doing a "control + v" this should now display the image. then the user clicks upload button. is this possible?

well.. you are inside a explorer.. i don't know if exists a control (on the user side) that will accept a paste of an image..
you will have to google around (a lot!!!) and trying to remember I never saw a site that allow that (even not the one that you can upload photos) so maybe is impossible...

I would say that you can't do this in a web based app without the addition of some clientside applet or activex control. HTTP only supports uploading a file by means of selecting the file itself.

If you want a user to work from a screenshot (bitmap image on the clipboard) you could build a client based application that has a image control on it that would take the standard paste methods and draw the image from the clipboard to the image control. You could then take it and "send" it to a website thru a web service. Using the classes in the System.Drawing namespace you could manipulate the image in many ways (such as saving it as a JPG to optimize the upload speed and storage requirements).
