Well, Obviously as the editor, I have some bias here but I highly recommend Wrox's own:
Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 with C#.

In addition to being a good and thorough book (although smaller than the old ASP 3 book you had), it has a very active and helpful forum here at Wrox.com.
If for some reason you really prefer
VB to C#, you could go with the
VB version which is just called Beginning ASP.NET 2.0:

But it doesn't sound like you come in with a specific leaning toward C# or
VB so I'd recommend the C# book. Most of the more advanced ASP.NET 2.0 books you'll come to later do more work in C# than
VB, so starting with C# will help better prepare you.
