Default Calendar control

When drag the Calendar control to a web form, we have a fully functional calendar in the web page. How can I create a small icon/picture in the web page, then clicking the picture will
show a larger, pop-up calendar, as we have seen on many web pages?

The pop up calendars that you see in many websites are basically javascript calendars, benefit of these calendars are that you can select the dates, move to next previous month without submitting the whole page (as compared to .NET's inbuilt calendar), to use such calendars, visit the link below:

Alternatively you could use the popup calendar control that is part of the ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Tool Kit.
