Default Imar's New ASP.NET 3.5 Book and a preview

(Apologies for my cross-post<g>).
Many of you ASP.NET coders have been helped by Imar in these forums over the last few years. Imar gives graciously here at a level no one could reasonably expect. And what's really cool is, he's smart and gives useful correct help!

Imar's not one to brag or ask for anything in return, but I can ask on his behalf. Imar just finished 9 grueling months of writing reviewing and rewriting the completely new Beginning ASP.NET 3.5. Anyone here who's read Imar's previous book or gotten an answer from him will know, this book is good. When you're ready to learn ASP.NET 3.5, I'd encourage you to start with Imar's Beginning ASP.NET 3.5. When you know someone else who needs to get started with ASP.NET 3.5, point them to Imar's Beginning ASP.NET 3.5.

One specific feature of the book I'd like to point out is that it includes both VB and C# code examples and the project has separate complete VB and C# code downloads. No more looking for the C# version or creating your own.

And if you know Imar, you know the book will be as error free as a book like this can be. To back Imar up on this quality effort, we've used some of the best technical editors I've ever worked with, many of who you've seen here in the forums. You've seen Alexei, you're seen Peter, you know who they are, you know they know their stuff. And we hired a couple of ASP.NET newbies to go through the manuscript and tell us what they couldn't follow.

So if you couldn't tell, this is an effort I'm proud of. Buy the book, recommend the book, pat Imar on the back for a job well done.

The book will be in our warehouse by the end of February and shipping from your favorite US online retailers by the first week of March. Physical US bookstores typically have it by a week later and EU stores within a month.

And here's the preview article: when you're new to ASP.NET 3.5, the first thing you'll need to do is get Visual Web Developer 2008 installed and configured correctly and understand the different types of VWD projects. Imar's article excerpted from the first 2 chapters of the book gets you started on the right track with the free Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition.

OK, my marketing hat is back off now. As you can tell, I'm not in marketing, just an editor. I'll job back to my projects now. :)
