Default Datagrid taking huge render time

Hi,
I have a datagrid,which displays around 2 million records.
since it has such a huge data, the time taken to render the page is large and html size is also huge.
Can anyone please suggest me how to reduce the time and size of the html page.

Thanks in advance.
