Default Can Edit/New buttons be added to CheckBoxList ?

I am working on a CheckBoxList to select and save the selected records to the database, so that
the other web pages can extract these records to present the data. Up to now, I have learned how
to display the CheckBox List for selection, then display selected records to a label

With VS 2005/ASPnet 2.0, we can add 'Edit, Delete, New' buttons to e.g. GridView, DetailsView, to
update the database immediately. Is there any existing data control tools to code a CheckBoxList
to save and update the selected data to the database immediately?

TIA,
Jeffrey
