Hi i'm new here i just purchased the book ASP.NET 2.0 with C# i want to learn ASP.NET and C# i dont know anything about ASP.NET and C# any advice if this is the right book to start learning these topics plus thers alrady ASP.NET 3.0 and so on should i just start from one of those 3.0 or something because i want to learn the latest and the most used nowdays. advice please

and if this the right book i want to download the exact Microsoft Visual Web Developer and Microsft SQL SERVER 2005 Express Edition thats is used on the ASP.NET 2.0 with C# does anyone know wher i can dwonload the exact software cz i dnt want to start seen icons that isnt in the book then gets me confused... is this the right book to start learn specialy since we in 2010 or is ther another one???

I don't know if MS offers a download of VWD 2005 and SQL Server 2005, any more. You may be stuck with 2008 versions, which correspond to ASP.NET version 3.5.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. 95% of what you will learn for version 2.0 will apply to 3.5 and (now, the latest) 4.0. It's more like there are *additional* things to learn in 3.5 and 4.0.

I've found the same thing. You should be in good shape. There may be other ways to do what your book tells you, but everything in your 2.0 book should work.
