Default .net2.0 support sql server 2000

hello to all
i have migrated my project from .net 1.1 to .net 2.0. everything is fine but it is showing one error that "to connect to sql server 2005 unable to access remote objects" but my database is in sql server 2000 now how can i change default behaviour of my application in .net 2.0 to sqlserver2000.
