hi,
i have a photo name field in my sql database
it stores photo names with extensions like this
test.jpg
test2.gif
how can i split just the photo name from the (.)
i want to add a string to it like test_small or test2_small
i need to split everythig before the dot
please write me the code

SQL Server does not have a native Split function so you will have to search google for that one and to split a string in C# or VB is trivial. You have apparently not done any research on this topic so let me refer you to:
