I have a custom composite control I am working on that uses other custom controls I have written earlier in it. I have run into an issue where the OnPreRender method is not called for the custom controls inside the composite control. I register client side javascript in this method so I need it to be called. Any suggestions?

Your control's Page_Load event will get called first (before onprerender). Try registerring it there

OnPreRender not being called sounds eye-opening, since that would be considered a framework bug. You might want to look into this. Maybe your control is getting loaded more than once.
