And what exactly are you having problems with?

My article showed you how to retrieve an image from the database and stream it to the server. So, all you need to do is resize the image on the fly (or store cached versions in the database), right?

There's a lot of info on Google on resizing images in .NET / C#.

Cheers,

Imar

Hi there,

May I give you some advice? If you ask for help on a forum like this one, try to help us help you. Try to imagine how others view your question, what they know about the situation and what not. Just look at this:
Quote:
quote:So far i am just having problem generating the Hot links for forums
What are you asking here? I literally have no idea. Having problems registering a domain name to include in the link? Having problems using Response.Write to output the link? Or maybe you can't come up with a nice naming scheme to identify the images? Or maybe you don't know how to distinguish between small and large images. Or maybe.... never mind, I am sure you get the idea.

So, if you want help: do yourself a favor tell us what it is you need to know. Tell us what you already know, and what you need help with. "having problem generating the Hot links for forums" is *not* a good problem description and in no way will help you resolve this issue.

Cheers,

Imar

P.S. No need to quote the entire post. The quote feature is used to quote relevant parts of a post only.

for example
http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/4476/p2pey9.jpg

see the above image and u can see the 3 Share links
I want to generate the same share links

Aaaarrrgggh, you don't really want help, do you?

Why don't you just tell us what you need help with. What kind of question is "I want to generate the same share links"?

What do you mean "generate", "share links"?

With questions like this, you get answers like this:

How to generate unique links

1. Open Notepad
2. Type in www.yourdomain.com/Images/1.jpg
3. Copy this line and paste it 9 more times
4. Replace the 1 with a sequential number so you end up with links from 1.jpg to 10.jpg

There, 10 unique links ready to be shared.

How to share your unique links

1. Open Outlook
2. Create a new message
3. Type in the e-mail address of a friend
4. Copy and paste one of the unique links and paste them in the message
5. Send the message
6. Repeat for each unique link or friend.

There you have it: Creating and sharing unique links in 10 simple steps.

So, to summarize: no, I did not get your point (and neither did you get mine about quoting messages.) You haven't really answered any of my previous questions and you haven't added any useful information at all to this post. All you said was "I want to generate the same share links" which is not, I repeat, NOT enough for a proper answer.
