Default Printing issues in asp.net

Hello everybody!

i have an aspx page(contains gridview) and i need to print it. I did this by using javascript - window.print. This works but the problem is that the print out is not coming properly in all the printers. In some printer it works excellently(comes out in a single page) and in some two pages or so. Is anything else can be done using C# to attain uniformity in printing.

Not really. You can already see that the C# has virtually nothing to do with it, all the "magic" is happening through Javascript. It sounds like you're using C# to manage your scripts, but that's the limit of it's involvement. I don't really like offering people a print button on a web page because I find the performance of browser print options superior, but if you want to go this route, just search on javascript and printing and you should find people's best tricks. Printing is not something that's terribly well standardized from browser to browser, system to system, or printer to printer. CSS printer styles are still in their infancy, and as you're finding out, the Javascript support "works" but you can't be too fussy about your output. If there's a way to better that, I don't know it. I've found printing styles to be tremendously frustrating when I've worked with them.
