Hi all,
It started all well with php directory script, edited and
run it... no problem. So got to try it somewhere else via
localhost, the decision falls on my college pc. I've installed
apache 1.3.27, MySQL 3.23.57, phpmyadmin.. and everything needed
to run. When I tried it, it says Error: Cant connect to database.
After checking it thousand times, the problem solved with a
very ridiculous way (at least for me). It cant connect to the
database because Win Regional Settings it set to 'Indonesian',
after resetted to 'English', it worked well. But another problem
surfaced, the directory index page shows up, but if i clicked on it,
nothing happens... it shows the same index page, the same happens
with query box. But it runs well on my pc.

ps. anyone knows why mysql cant query in relation with "regional
settings" in WIn OS?


Any idea will be greatly appreciated.

Got the solution, it's the register_global var that is still off
on my college PC. Problem solved! Sorry troubling you guys.

One that i still dont understand is why regional setting affected
mysql query?
