can anyone share the experience of php with me i mean i would like to make one small application in php at my home to learn the language.
i have win xp i have downloaded the php 5.0.4
now tell me how i am suppose to go ahead???????????
even download mysql for windows its also not working???
could someone help me in this that how ti start with it.

See MySQL module is not works automatically with PHP5. You may use PHP 4.3.8 or see php.net to work out MySQL with it.

I suggest you use Apache2 on Windows 2000 PE/SE or Windows 2003 Web/SE.

I had very little issues with PHP5 on Windows XP with MySQL.

All you do have to make sure is that the version of libmysql.dll is consistent, AND that you only have one on your system. Having duplicates of different versions causes problems.
