Default Configuration of PHP

Hi,
  I have install php-5.2.3-win32-installer.msi on my pc with windows XP.Then i configure the IIS and add new Extention .php and isapiFilter in IIS.But still i can't browse any page of php.I save my php file in a virtual directry and in wwwroot folder but still i can't browse any file and display the message that 'the page cannot fonud '.So what is the exact problem.Do i need to configur more thing in iis? or have to do something else...????
Plz help me .This is very furstrated and full of tention working with php installation and configuration.
Plz Note that i have installed php-5.2.3-win32-installer.msi.I want to use this.I don't want to use or install WAMP.
I m waiting for any help or repsonse.
