Default about php configuration

I have installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 and i got php and apache working on it but mysql was not working. So I installed mysql at this machine. Mysql is working. But I am not able to fetch data from mysql through PHP code. Please help me for this

You probably need to install the MySQL extension to PHP. The latest PHP RPMs being distributed are for PHP 5, so I assume that's what you're using. If that is the case the MySQL extension is not installed by default. Its no big deal though, there are RPMs for most of the common extensions, just install those.

Thanks for the reply. But what are the needed rpms i did not get name of those.
