Working with computers and programming can stretch one's mind to the outer limit. If the computer or the program is giving you fits, it usually means you are working too hard. Shut the computer off then got take a long walk, work in the garden etc... computers don't care because #1 they do what they are programmed to do. #2 It's a pile of silicon, copper, steel, paint, plastic it has no conscience or nervous system - so it doesn't feel emotions or pain so uttering blistering blessings does not affect its logic or computation and drop kicking across the room might make just about anybody feel better, but it has not effect as to whether or not it is going to start acting right. Anyway, I've used WAMP before and off the top of my head I think first thing you need to do is make sure the web server is working properly - in this case Apache. If you type in
http://localhost you should get the default webpage that Apache serves when you first bring it online. Page 14 and 15 in
PHP, Apache, MySQL Web Development should give you a starting point. Hope this helps you get started.
