Default PalmPC(windowsCE) & Visual Basic

Will compiled executables from VB6 run on the windows CE platform? Any special tools required to do this anyone has had experience with?

You can try to get your hands on the Microsoft Windows CE Toolkit for Visual Basic 6.0. I have never used it but you can give a try.

You could also try eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 this is available to download from Microsoft (search the downloads).

The functionality is cut fairly cut down compared to VB6 and this can be a pain. I have used it to write applications for iPAQ's and it works pretty well.

I appreciate the responses, I obtained both tools you mentioned. For my personal preference, I think embedded tools gets the most use from me, the add-in for vb6.0 didn't do much for me besides give me runtime to distribute along with my pocketpc apps =o( But it was still fun ;]

Now to find out if windowsupdate works on my pocketPC, lol.

on another note...if anyone knows any good windows CE irc clients..or free aim/icq/yahoo-messenger clients etc...please let me know. Otherwise i'm going to go ahead and write an AIM client for CE as freeware, aim is the easiest so start there.
