Default Necessary precautions to be taken for Installing VB6 on Windows XP

Hello,

I'm a beginner.
I do not have any background of Visual Basics , would like to learn Visual Basics 6.0
I'm installing VB6.0 for the 1st time, plz guide me necessary precautions to be taken for Installing VB6 on Windows XP PC. Is there any need of any service pack to be used??

You should have no problems with the installation but you should at least download and install SP5 once your done (acctually suggest SP6b)

Any particular reason for using SP5/SP6?
Is SP2 not compatible for VB6 Applications?

SP 5 or SP6 of VB6,
For XP SP 2 will be just fine as any other.
