Default Can I still purchase VB6

I am currently using vb.net to create simple applications. I would ideally like to use vb6 as well (or instead) to avoid the necessity of my users having to install the 20mb dotNet "platform" file that is required to run my 20kb application.

Can vb6 still be purchased? Any ideas?

I am not sure if you can still purchase VB 6 (maybe (online) shops still have it), but Microsoft allows you to downgrade your VS.NET license to a prior version. Check out this page for more info:

I tried to buy another copy of VB6 last August, and I was told it had been discontinued. You could try on Amazon
