I have a project, soon to be dropped on my plate. I have a MCAD in .NET and have worked with most of the Microsoft products developing VBA to produce the desired results. I have written macros in Access to preform table loads etc.. I have worked with Access to connect to SQL Server and load data.
With all this said; I have not developed a Access application.
My task is to import a XML document and produce a report. I would like to dynamically create tables and possibly relationships in the application. I must also compensate for the possibility of the XML document changing without notice.
Does your book deal with these topics/issues?
I assume it teaches one to build a simple application. Does it show how to handle the possibility of very old versions of Access on the client machine? Must the client have the same version of Access as the app is built in? What is the earliest version of Access to address XML?
I know these are many questions. I need to know I can build this application in short time using your reference. I just can not determine from the Table of Contents that your book addresses these issues.
