Default Object Dependencies

I am working on a database that was developed by someone else. And Viewing Object Dependencies sounds like a GREAT Access 2003 feature, but I cannot get it to work. I have Name AutoCorrect on and this is the error I get:

Microsoft Office Access could not enable AutoCorrect for one or more objects because ACCESS could not open and save the objects. An open or save operation could have failed due to one or more of the following reasons - the object is already open, you don't have permissions to open the object in Design view, the database is read-only, or the source of a linked table could not be found.

And I am fairly certain that none of those situations apply. Anyone else run into this?

Hi,
Yes, it is GREAT to be able to view object dependencies. I'm not sure why you are experiencing those challenges. Please let me know if you are still having the problem.

Trouble shooting based on your post, I would:
 - Confirm all linked tables.
 - ensure that you are full permissions on the database and objects.

If that didn't work, I'd try it on a different computer.

If that isn't enough ... I'd do either or both of the following (using a back-up file)
 - copy the objects into a new mdb file.
 - import the linked tables.

Hope that you have a solution.

Teresa
