Unhappy Chapter 15 source code will not open in design view

Access 2007 running under Windows-7:

The 'Chamber Application File' fails to start with these messages:
Error 2950
autoexec... action failed
Action: Runcode
Argument: Startupactions()
the status is 'Checking linked databases'

The Ribbon is greyed-out and I can't get to see the code.
How can I get into Design View, please?

Nice book, though!

Unhappy Chamber Application File without debbuging

Hello Michael Grimes

I can't debbug the codes of 'Chamber Application File'.
I can't open startup form of 'Chamber Application File' too.

Default I had some success getting into the database

NinaGel,

I'm running Windows 10 with Access 2016. When I opened the database, it seemed to hang, so I hit Ctrl-Break to try to exit. A message box came up saying I could not exit, but eventually the standard message bar appeared warning of macro content. When I enabled that content, the splash screen main menu appeared and I could run the application.

As far as viewing the objects in the database, I could do that too if I held down the SHIFT key while opening the database. There was a navigation panel minimized on the left, but when I clicked that, all the objects became available for examination.

I hope that helps you.
