Question -1 as a a reserved value in tblAuthors to indicate (All) Authors

Hi,

May be this is a simple question. But I found that the -1 in the ID (Long Integar, AutoNumber) colomn. How can this be happen? I built a new table and set the ID the same way but it's obvious unacceptable to do so.

This is on the page 90 of this book. Open a report Based On a Parameter Query. The -1 I found it in the MacroSamples.accdb (chapter 4), tblAuthors.

Thanks guy.
