First of all, I love this book.

I am learning about callbacks, and your chat server is a great example. I have noticed that I get the browser 'refresh' click when the chat window checks for updates. Is there any way to suppress the 'refresh' sound? I realize that with most callback stuff you won't have this issue, but I was wondering if it was possible.

AFAIK, there is no way to turn this off. This is client behavior, defined in the OS and can't be controlled by a server-side page.
