I have to put for membership applicationname="/" and for Role Application="/Bugbase" If i put Application="/Bugbase" for membership authorisation failed.
It is taking two application ids for login "/" and "/Bugbase" for role
One think i do not understand why "/" application ids not created for aspnet_role Table.

Any how thanks for co-operation.

Dear Iman,
I thanks for your co-operation.
One thing i want to share with you since 2004 i started studying with .net 1.0 i had nearly bought more than 35 books on asp.net but all books teaches only how to use controls, nobody shows way to use projects in practical life even that on base of oops.Yours is only book in Asp.Net world which gives all details of how to handle client server technology fully.
I used go to bookshop and particularly in asp.net section and if suppose i found somebody who is confuse about which book to buy.I simply suggest him just your Instantresult book and tell him for basic refer walkthrough of Visual studio, that will be enough!
Have a nice time.

Applications are generated automatically the first time they are needed. If you browse to http://localhost:12345 then the app is /

If you browse to http://localhost:12345/BugBase then the app will be called /BugBase. This is something .NET dies automatically for you if you don't set the applicationName specifically.

You can align the two by setting both to / (or to /BugBase) but then you need to recreate either the roles or the users to match the other application.

35 books? Wow, that's a lot. WIth mine on top of the stack? That's even cooler. Spread the word, spread the word.... ;)

Cheers,

Imar
